As part of Black History Month, Year 6 were learning and performing an African Dance. We had a choreographer who taught us all the moves. We learnt part by part – she showed us and then we copied it slowly without the music. After that, we put the moves to the music. It was so much fun! We danced to Shakira – Waka Waka. At the end we all got into a circle and then we did our own freestyle in the middle. Everyone was incredibly supportive, cheering and clapping along.
