This week in Nursery, we have been reading the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which we have all enjoyed listening to. The children wrote a letter to the Three Bears pretending to be Goldilocks, and were able to give reasons as to why they were sorry. The children were amazing at talking about their emotions and how they would feel if someone broke their chair or ate their food! Miss Hovell thinks we have size experts in Nursery, as all the children were able to match the items to Daddy, Mummy and Baby Bear using the words small, medium and big. We have had several opportunities to make different types of Bears in Nursery, using paint, stamps, tissue paper and even Playdough!
We even made some porridge for the Three Bears, which we loved making! Some of the children loved adding Strawberry Jam and Honey to their porridge. We had some mix reviews about the taste of the porridge but we all certainly had lots of fun making this.
We were also lucky enough to have a visit from our Juniour Road Safety Officers, who reminded the Nursery children to hold hands with the person they are walking with when crossing the road, as we need to be safe and protected.
